There will be just two meetings of the Folk Club in 2010 until the grand opening of the new Community Centre in September 2010

George Papavgeris
George's stock-in-trade is quality songsmithery that everyone can relate to, rather than the more exclusive overt-confessional-soapbox mode that we often encounter.  But he is not politically naïve, neither is his outlook without conscience;  he just prefers lasting values to transient/parading activism, and takes genuine delight in simple pleasures.

Sara Grey & Kieren Means
Sara Grey is one of that rare breed of singers who have been involved with traditional music over many years and absorbed its vital essence.

Kieron has such a tremendous passion when he sings, it goes right to the very core of himself, he's totally immersed the songs. He is a terrific performer on account of just that passion.

Noeleen - Born in Plymouth of Irish parents, folk music is in Noeleen's blood and she learned her first songs at the knee of her accordion playing father.
Alex - Brought up on a feast of folk music from an early age as Dad played in the local ceilidh band 'The Old Pull and Push', he broke with tradition during his rebellious teenage years and moved to the dark side of electronic music.

You will be pleased to hear that future guests will include George Papavgeris, Alex and Noeleen from Murphy's Lore, Sara Grey with Kieren Means, Lynne Heraud and Pat Turner.

The list is growing by the day and we are all looking forward to the extra facilities provided by the new Community Centre where you will soon be able to enjoy these performances even more.

Please let us know if there is anyone who you would like to see perform at Milford Folk Club and we will endeavour to book them for a future date.

Lynne Heraud & Pat Turner are two of the most experienced and established harmony singers on the folk scene. They have a leaning towards traditional English material, but occasionally diversify and perform their own material and Victorian/Edwardian songs.
